The Vindex 3500 is well suited to the tough New Zealand conditions and engineered to perform. A GRP/ foam core hand-laid hull is a key attribute to the success of this vessel, which ensures a light but immensely strong hull as the foundation.

Shaft driven by a four blade 370hp Volvo Penta (repowered 1999), she cruises economically at 12-15kts, burning 5-7L/h economically at cruising speed and opening up to 22kts. Her bow thruster makes her very maneuverable in close proximity. The engine is supplied by a Napa- 1150CCA battery and domestic systems are supplied by 3x 120 amp/hr Deep Cycle (Century) house batteries float charged by a 120W solar panel.

Autohelm ST5000 Autopilot and Lowrance HDS12 chart plotter & sounder, keep navigation easy. The flybridge setup allows finger tip driving with 360 visibility with electronic throttle control. The cockpit controls allow the helmsman to face aft while controlling the boat in close quarters maneuvering. Two VHF’s in the saloon and flybridge along with the electronics keeps for safe boating.
